History
In 1970 Mr. Jordan founded Diamond Detective Agency Inc., a private security services firm providing flexible security programs to reflect the needs and desires of customers. Throughout the 1970’s Diamond’s growth was with mainly private customers in the immediate area through strong customer relationships and quality service. In the early 1980’s Diamond realized the potential for business opportunities and expansion through the public bid process. During this period Diamond expanded its operations to California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Missouri, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. With the growth and experience working with both Federal and local governments, Diamond became a potential competitor to national security firms and a potential service provider to public and private sectors on a national level. Diamond continued providing services to its customers without any significant events or growth on into the 1990’s. In 1994 with the untimely death of John J. Jordan Sr., and his wife in 2006, control of the family interests were transferred to their son John J. Jordan Jr., as President and Chief Executive Officer. John Jr., began working with the company since its inception at the age of 14 and maintained his involvement since. He has performed in every capacity from “patrol dispatcher, to security officer, to site supervisor, and operations manager. When given the opportunity to handle the day-to-day operations of the company Mr. Jordan put to use his aggressive business style and goals of turning the company into a well respected and quality security provider as a viable alternative to the large national and international security firms. The company has grown during his control from 300 to over 1000 employees in fifteen states! The family legacy continues with John Jordan III, who currently is the Chief Operating Officer and manages day to day responsibilities of the operations and human resource departments of the organization.
